Education

Financial Analysis and Crop Insurance and Commodity Marketing are all complex businesses.  There's just a lot to learn.  And as a customer, it's best if you know enough about these areas to feel comfortable about the moves that we're making together to manage your risk and grow your profits.  Learning and understanding are a big part of how we work well together.  Here are some of the ways that we work with you to achieve that.

  • On a white board at your farm office or your kitchen table.  Let's learn about market trends, seasonal patterns and the different kinds of crop insurance offerings.
  • Over the phone with your Market Advisor, as we talk about the best options for marketing your crops.
  • On a conference call, as we share what's going on in both the grain and livestock markets focusing on both Fundamental and Technical factors in the markets.
  • On the radio, as our experts share regular market analysis or are interviewed on various topics about farm finance and risk management.
  • Online.  Our new web site has a multitude of articles and audio interviews so you can learn more about our philosophies on managing risk and taking advantage of opportunities.
  • Online with Water Street University.  Twice a year we offer classes to help you learn about the intricacies of marketing, risk management, and even production.
  • At conferences where Water Street Solutions clients gather for social time and learning -- from outside experts and from each other.
