Keep the landlord in the loop

This crop year is the first time many farmers have signed flex lease arrangements with their landlords. Most landlords are familiar with cash rent leases, but probably aren't as well versed when it comes to flex leases. It takes good communication to keep your landlord in the loop during the crop year, and this is especially important if it's the first year for a new type of lease, when their uncertainty is likely high.
